A practical training session on child evangelism and discipleship took centre stage during the opening session of the 2026 Foundation Builders’ Conference of the Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, on Wednesday night, June 3, 2026, at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh.

The session was facilitated by the National Director of the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Ghana, Deaconess Mrs Theresa Alberta Foh, who underscored the urgency of reaching every child with the message of the Gospel.

Describing evangelism as “a beggar telling another beggar where to find bread,” Mrs Foh urged children’s workers to lead young people to salvation in Christ and intentionally nurture them into committed disciples of Jesus.

Participants were taken through a range of practical and child-friendly evangelism tools, including the Wordless Book, Gospel Hand, Gospel Ribbons, Gospel Keys and flash cards, among other interactive resources designed to make the Gospel message engaging, simple and memorable for children.

The training also highlighted key discipleship tools such as devotional materials, Bible correspondence courses, Children’s Ministry songs, social media platforms and the Youth Night Kids App. Attendees were reminded that while God calls His servants, He also equips them, and that every child who comes to faith must be carefully nurtured to grow spiritually.

The session was described by participants as insightful, engaging and highly practical, equipping children’s workers with the tools needed to effectively evangelise and disciple the next generation.
