The Mampong Area Women’s Ministry and Virtuous Ladies were involved in the post-ABIDEDOES skills training purposely to diversify the career opportunities of the young ladies and allow them to learn new strategies that can enable them keep up with the constantly changing environment.
The training included preparation of brown sugar, after wash, fresh yoghurt, spring rolls, sobolo, some traditional foods, bridal fans and fascinator, and many others. This, according to the Women’s Ministry, will reposition their young ones and strengthen families through food bonding.
During the meeting, Mrs. Mabel Cudjoe Amuzu, spoke on the topic, “Spicing it up” to educate the gathering on how they can enrich their marriage through extraordinary norms of showing affection.
The Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Esther Osei Owusu, tasked Virtuous Ladies to be ambitious and take advantage of the skills acquisition training to enhance their confidence for better repositioning.
She disclosed that expanding one’s base of knowledge and skills is more important than ever and it helps to earn respect and admiration.
She further endorsed the skills acquisition program acquired at the maiden edition of the ABIDEDOES Conference and stressed that, it is a life transforming venture if embraced by the ladies.
On her part, the wife of the Area Head, Mrs Beatrice Asare, said the training can provide individuals from low-income families or underprivileged communities with the skills and knowledge needed to secure better-paying jobs and improve their standard of living. She encouraged the ladies to be defined and attach a sense of importance to its practice.
