The Agormanya Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle James Gabriel Quardson, has entreated Christians to go the extra mile to make positive use of the prevailing challenging times in which the world finds itself.
Apostle Quardson made the call during an online meeting on Zoom cloud with ministers of the Area on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Reading from 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, the Area Head stated that Christians are children of the Light, saying, “As children of the Light, we must be awake and alert by devoting quality time to seek God. We must not be overtaken by darkness no matter the times and seasons in which we find ourselves.”
He added: “Even though this COVID-19 period outbreak is generally considered an unfavourable time for Christians, if we diligently seek God, the seemingly unfavourable times would turn to our benefit when everything comes to an end.”
Apostle Quardson implored ministers of the church to device means to provide pastoral care and shepherding to their members since these are the times that the members need them most. He advised them to call their members and share words of encouragement with them.
He further asked the ministers to be abreast with the times and seasons so that they can provide the right answers to the many questions that may come from their members during and after the plague. By so doing, he said, none of the church members may be lost after this period of COVID-19.
Concluding the meeting, the Area Head discussed the Chairman’s April Circular Letter 2 with the ministers for better understanding and implementation.
