The Madina District Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has began literacy classes for persons who are keen on learning how to read and write.

The programme was initiated by the leadership of the District Women’s Ministry made up of Deaconesses Christiana Emelia Osei, Florence Asamoah Manu, Vivian Barfuor Atuahene, Charlotte Adom, and Charity Eyram Souka. It was officially inaugurated on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Madina Central Assembly.

Inaugurating the programme, the wife of the District Minister, Mrs. Esther Appianing, encouraged the learners to be determined and not to be discouraged by the comments and criticisms of other people.

She said that it is important to be able to read and write, in order not to be deceived by modern-day scammers and cheats.

Currently, the literary class is made up of 35 learners and 3 facilitators.
