The Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in the Konongo Area, on Monday, March 11, 2019, donated some health delivery items to the Konongo-Odumasi Government Hospital.
The items were made up of thermometers, hand gloves, carbolic soaps, and hand sanitizers. The rest were detergents, hand towels, mops and buckets, toilet rolls, among others.
Presenting the items to the hospital, Elder Clement Osei who led the delegation explained that the Church has a core value to give to the sick and pray for their well being at all times. He added that the donation was also part of the Church’s corporate social responsibility to the hospital.
He appealed to the hospital staff to consider their profession as a divine call and deliver professional healthcare to patients under their care, saying, “Treating the patients with much care, love and affection could even bring healing.”
The Administrator of the hospital, Mrs. Nora Fobi, who received the items on behalf of management and staff, expressed gratitude to the Church for the donation. She called for a greater collaboration between the church and the hospital in delivering quality health care for the people of Konongo-Odumase.
“We are happy for the donation and we wish to call for more collaboration between the hospital, the church and other partners in the municipality so we can deliver quality health services. Health, should be a matter of concern to all people in the municipality,” she stated.
