The Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost has inaugurated new ministries aligned with the church’s Vision 2028: ‘Possessing the Nations: Unleashing the Whole Church to Transform Their World with the Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God.’
The service took place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Kaneshie Worship Centre Auditorium and was officiated by the Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante.
Among those present were Pastor Samuel Avornyo (Children’s Ministry Director), Pastor Frank Mensah Tandoh (Schools Outreach Ministry National Coordinator), Pastor Addae Agyemang Abraham (Ministry to the Other Sheep National Coordinator), and representatives from the Ministry to Celebrities and the Ministry to the Digital Space (e-church).
Also in attendance were Apostle Prof. Joseph Ignatius Teye Buertey (Resident Minister, PIWC-Kaneshie), Apostle James Orhin Agyin (Project Developments and Estate Manager, Headquarters), the Kaneshie Area Pastorate, as well as Mrs. Elizabeth Osei Asante, wife of the Area Head.
Apostle Samuel Osei Asante delivered the sermon on the topic, ‘The Characteristics of the Unleashed Church,’ referencing Isaiah 60:1-3.
He emphasised that Zion represents a mighty force planted by God—a righteous people destined to inherit the land forever. However, he noted that Zion must realise its full potential by arising and shining; otherwise, darkness will cover the earth and its people. He also cited Matthew 16:18-19, explaining that believers possess keys to the Kingdom of God and are called to use them to unlock those imprisoned by darkness.
Apostle Asante highlighted that an unleashed church is designed to spread across communities, towns, cities, countries, and continents until the earth is filled with God’s glory.
He further stated that as churches grow larger, their ministries must expand to positively impact humanity. This led to the introduction of new ministries alongside the existing five traditional ministries.
Apostle Samuel Osei Asante prayed for grace and understanding for congregants to embrace these new ministries wholeheartedly, including the Workers Guild and Counselling Ministry, encouraging them to actively participate in their activities.
