The Kaneshie Area Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has donated some items to the Pentecost Hospital at Madina and the Christian Rehabilitation Centre at Bortianor.

The delegation, comprising of Area and District leaders as well as some children, was led by the Area Children’s Ministry Leader, Pastor Emmanuel Kwasi Appiah.

Presenting the items to officials of Pentecost Hospital on Friday, December 29, 2018, Pastor Appiah said that it is a privilege for every Christian to lend a helping hand to the poor, the needy and the sick especially during the festive period, as stated in Matthew 25:35-36.

The delegation was warmly received by the Ag. Director of the Hospital, Mr. Razak Gbadamosi, the Hospital Chaplain, Pastor Enoch Odame, the Matron, Mrs. Grace Ackah, and other officials of the hospital.

Receiving the items, worth GHS 6,500.00, on behalf of the Hospital, Pastor Odame expressed gratitude to the Kaneshie Area for the kind gesture and encouraged others to emulate such godly act.

Some of the items donated included 100 pieces of bedsheets, 24 packs of hand gloves, 14 gallons of liquid soap, mops and other assorted items.

The delegation also donated some items to the Christian Rehabilitation Centre in Bortianor on the same day. The centre was established by Deaconess Eunice Grace Johnson (Retired), who is credited with several songs of The Church of Pentecost.

The items, worth GHS 2,500.00, included 5 bags of rice, 100 tubers of yam, 5Bags of maize, 3 cartons of Chicken etc. and a cash amount of GHS 1,000.00.

Receiving the items, Mrs. Johnson expressed her delight for the items and describing it as a timely gesture. She explained that the rehab was established to offer assistance to drug addicts, alcoholics and people who are struggling with all kinds of substance abuse.

Mrs. Eunice Johnson, therefore, advised the youth to only focus on God and to desist from drug abuse and all other forms of substance abuse.

She also urged other benevolent members of the Church to come to the aid of the facility.

“Orphanage and Hospital” is an annual programme of the calendar of the Area Children’s Ministry where the ministry donates in support of a selected orphanage and hospital within the year. Last year, the ministry made a donation to the Mephibosheth Orphanage Home at Bawjiase in the Central Region.
