The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has reaffirmed that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

During a Gospel Sunday service with the Bethel Assembly in the New Juaben District today, he stressed that faith in Jesus is the only means by which humanity can be reconciled with God.

Referencing John 14:6, he declared, “Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

The General Secretary explained that there is no alternative path to salvation, underscoring that Jesus is the sole mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Apostle Obuobi elaborated on the importance of salvation, tracing its origins to the Garden of Eden when mankind first disobeyed God.

He explained that Adam and Eve’s disobedience caused separation from God, which led to death and the loss of their glory. “By obeying the devil instead of God, Adam and Eve honoured Satan, and this act of disobedience resulted in the fall of mankind,” he said.

However, he pointed out that through Jesus, the door of salvation remains open to all who come to Him in faith.

“Jesus is the access point to eternal life. He is open to all who believe,” he said, citing John 10:9.

He reminded the congregation that Jesus is not only the exclusive way to salvation, but also the only means of reconciliation with God.

Apostle Obuobi warned that the opportunity for salvation will not last forever.

Drawing from Luke 13:25-27, he cautioned that the door to salvation will one day be closed. “When the rapture comes or when death strikes, the door to salvation will be closed, and there will be no further opportunity.”

He concluded by urging everyone to seize the opportunity to enter through the door of salvation while it is still open, for Jesus is the only way to eternal life.
