The Ho Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has inaugurated the Virtuous Ladies wing of the ministry.
Present at the service which took place on September 23, 2019, were ministers and their wives in the Area, the Area and District Executives of the Women’s Ministry, among others.
Launching the group, the Area Head, Apostle Moses Ahiakor, read from Luke 8: 1-3 and Acts 20: 32 and prayed for the executive committee members. He advised the leadership and members of the new wing to involve technology in all their activities since technology has now become a part of everyday life.
Giving the sermon, Mrs Elizabeth Ahiakor (wife of the Area Head), called on women to be hardworking in all their endeavours.
She charged them to live exemplary lives and impact others through their modest, decent and godly dressing. She further urged them to be truthful in all their dealings and also study the word of God.
Quoting from Mathew 16: 18 and 1 Peter 2: 4- 6, Mrs Elizabeth Ahiakor advised the women to dream big, aim high and invest in different ventures and be prepared to give an account of their stewardship. “As a virtuous lady you should always remember to pay your tithes for the associated promised blessings from God,” she added.
The Area Women’s Ministry Secretary, Deaconess Stella Awusavi, spelt out the vision of the Virtuous Ladies, which includes spiritual and physical training of young ladies in the church to prepare them for life, marriage and developing their talents.
She emphasized that young ladies are the future of the Church. Members of the Virtuous Ladies are ladies whose ages fall within the age range of 13 and 35 years.
The launch was climaxed with a drama on the Ten Virgins staged by young ladies from Dome District.
The programme was attended by 313 ladies.
