The Achimota District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Jonathan Kofie has asserted that every true believer in Christ Jesus has what it takes to possess and transform nations to the glory of God.
He said this on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Achimota Central Auditorium during the Achimota District Week celebration dubbed: “Kohinta.”
Speaking on the theme: “For We Can Certainly Do It,” Pastor Kofie explained that, after Moses sent the 12 spies to go and scout the Promised Land, the whole nation was depending on the report of the spies to take their next step.
He indicated that the people of Israel fell into a moment of despair and hopelessness when they received the report of the 10 spies. But it was in this moment of despair that Caleb made the statement: “For We Can Certainly Do It.”
Reading from Mathew 16:16-18, Numbers 13:18-20 and Numbers 30 and 36, Pastor Jonathan Kofie stated that the 12 spies saw all the wealth and riches of the Land, however, 10 of them allowed the threats of the people living in the land to discourage them, instead of relying on the faithfulness of God.
“But Caleb and Joshua believed that the Lord who parted the Red Sea is equally able to give His people victory over every foe,” he expounded.
Touching on the power of faith, Pastor Kofie explained that a person’s inner convictions determine his or her view and approach to all the issues of life and help them overcome every obstacle. He listed some men of faith in the Bible who were outstanding in their walk with God; he noted Ezekiel who trusted God in the valley of dry bones.
“If you see God as a healer, provider, deliverer, so will He be unto you,” he reiterated.
Pastor Jonathan Kofie further admonished believers to always have a daily dose of the word of God so as to live a victorious life.
