Bethel Worship Centre In Bolgatanga Empowers Female Students Of Akantome Junior High School

The School Outreach Ministry (SOM), in collaboration with the Women’s Ministry of Bethel Worship Centre in the Bolgatanga Area of The Church of Pentecost, has organised a special event at Akantome Junior High School in Zaare, Bolgatanga. The initiative was aimed at empowering, inspiring, and supporting young girls in both their academic and spiritual journeys.

A particularly significant moment during the event was the salvation of 15 girls who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Additionally, 52 other students rededicated their lives to the Lord, marking a powerful moment of spiritual renewal and growth.

The programme, which formed part of the activities commemorating the International Day of the Girl Child, included a range of events, notably a motivational session led by the Resident Minister, Probationary Overseer Dr Kwame Ajei-Amoafo, and his wife, Joy. They ministered to the girls, emphasising the importance of trusting in God’s guidance and wisdom in everyday life. Their message was rooted in Proverbs 3:5–6, encouraging the students to rely on God’s understanding and to trust in His divine plan for their lives.

As part of the outreach, the ministry donated essential items to the girls, including exercise books, pens, and sanitary pads. These gifts were intended to support their educational needs and promote menstrual hygiene and dignity. The gesture was warmly received, with the students expressing heartfelt gratitude and excitement.

The event concluded on a hopeful and optimistic note, with the girls encouraged to pursue their dreams and aspirations with faith, resilience, and determination.

Bethel Worship Centre’s commitment to empowering and nurturing the next generation was clearly demonstrated through this initiative, which sought to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

PENSA-KNUST Rural Evangelism Records Over 2,000 Souls & 5 New Assemblies

The Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have recorded 2,159 souls for Christ during this year’s Rural Evangelism exercise held in the Ejisu and New Tafo Areas of The Church of Pentecost.

The six-day outreach, which took place from September 9 to 14, 2025, also saw 555 people baptised in water, 887 receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and 1,883 others rededicating their lives to Christ. In addition, five new assemblies were established—Quarters, Emmanuel, Grace, Bonwire, and Baamang Assemblies.

The 2025 edition of the annual evangelistic campaign was themed “Jesus Christ! The Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6). Ahead of the event, student missionaries, referred to as “militants,” embarked on a 21-day fast and prayer to seek spiritual empowerment. They also underwent intensive training in leadership, medical, and logistical support to ensure the success of the mission.

A total of 25 centres were covered during the outreach, including Effiduase, Kumawu, Bodomase, Banko, Drobonso, Asokore, and Bonwire. Activities undertaken by the teams included dawn broadcasting, one-on-one evangelism, school outreaches, film evangelism, house-to-house visits, and prayer sessions.

The outreach was marked by numerous reported healings and miracles. Among them were testimonies of a man at Bonwire who regained mobility after months of paralysis, a woman at Drobonso healed of chronic back pain, and another who received her sight after years of impaired vision. In one instance, a challenge from a community member in Drobonso to pray for rain reportedly resulted in heavy rainfall after an hour of prayer.

The Asokwa Area Head and Executive Council Member, Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey, and the Ejisu Area Head, Apostle James Oko Barnor, the New Tafo Area Head, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, as well as to the various district pastors who hosted the teams, were acknowledged for their diverse support which significantly contributed to the success of the outreach.

The Resident Campus Pastor for PENSA-KNUST, Pastor Jonathan Quaye, who, together with his team, visited all 25 centres during the campaign, was lauded for his leadership and guidance.

The Rural Evangelism, an annual initiative of PENSA-KNUST, provides students with practical missionary experience in rural communities. It seeks to deepen their faith, strengthen their evangelistic zeal, and impact communities with the gospel of Christ.

The Church of Pentecost Donates Life Jackets to Students Who Cross Volta Lake to Attend School web

The Church of Pentecost Donates Life Jackets to Students Who Cross Volta Lake to Attend School

The Church of Pentecost’s Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM), in collaboration with the Teshie-Nungua Area of the church, has taken a bold step to improve safety and access to education by donating life jackets to students in Keta-Krachi of the Oti Region. The students face a daily challenge of crossing the Volta Lake to attend school, often without protective gear.

The donation ceremony, held on Friday, September 26, 2025, brought together church leaders, local authorities, traditional rulers, and community members to celebrate a significant step forward in ensuring that education does not come at the cost of children’s lives.

Pastor Frank Mensah Tandoh, National Coordinator of the Schools Outreach Ministry, explained that the idea was sparked by growing concern over the safety of students who spend up to three hours crossing the lake each day.

“We believe no child should risk their life just to get to school. These life jackets are a symbol of our commitment to protecting our children while promoting education,” he said.

The Kete-Krachi Area Head of the church, Pastor Charles Kwaku Ofosu, expressed gratitude to SOM for identifying the pressing need and responding swiftly, saying, “This is what ministry is all about – meeting people where they are and addressing real needs with practical love.”

The Queen Mother of Adoten, Nana Bakrife Eyerealeso II, commended the church’s initiative, describing it as timely and thoughtful.

“This donation brings hope to our community. Our children can now go to school with greater peace of mind, and parents can rest a little easier,” she said.

The Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Krachi West, Hon. Prosper Addo, also welcomed the intervention, revealing that the Assembly is finalising plans to build a boarding facility for students living across the lake.

“This intervention by The Church of Pentecost is a valuable complement to the district’s long-term strategy to improve access to education in island and lakeside communities,” he stressed.

The students and their parents welcomed the donation with joy and relief, describing the life jackets as a lifeline for children determined to pursue education despite geographical barriers.

This gesture from the church adds to a growing wave of community-led solutions aiming to close the education and safety gap in Ghana’s most underserved areas.

Scripture Is Authoritative, Inerrant, And Sufficient – Pastor Nti Affirms

The PENSA Travelling Secretary for the Madina Sector, Pastor Gabriel Nti, has reaffirmed the absolute authority and sufficiency of Scripture, declaring, “The Bible is authoritative, inerrant, and sufficient.”

Speaking at the opening session of the PENSA Ghana Leaders’ Retreat on Friday, September 19, 2025, he delivered a compelling exposition on the nature, structure, and relevance of God’s Word.

In a presentation rich in theological insight and practical wisdom, Pastor Nti emphasised the Bible’s divine origin, explaining that although it was written by over 40 authors across 1,400 years, it conveys a unified message inspired by the Holy Spirit.

“Scripture is not merely historical, it is alive and powerful,” he asserted, stressing that it is capable of shaping character, resisting sin, and guiding believers in truth.

He explored key themes such as canonicity, bibliology, and revelation—distinguishing between general revelation through nature and special revelation through Scripture and the person of Christ. Addressing contemporary linguistic and technological challenges, he encouraged believers to consult various translations while remaining anchored in the Spirit of the Word.

Pastor Nti challenged PENSA leaders to engage in deep, Spirit-led study of Scripture, commit to memorising the Word, and live lives shaped by its truth.

He concluded with a stirring call: “Those who trust in the authority of God’s Word will walk in strength, direction, and eternal life.”

The session, themed “The Bible,”set a compelling tone for the retreat, reminding leaders that true transformation begins with resolute confidence in God’s unchanging Word.
