Apostle Christian Tsekpoe, a Lecturer and Coordinator of the School of Theological Education by Extension (STEE) at Pentecost University College (PUC), has charged ministers and wives in Walewale Area to build up themselves to possess the nations.

He made the call during the opening of the Ministers’ and Wives session of the 2019 Apostolization on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the Walewale Central auditorium.

Reading from Ephesians 4:11-16, he noted that Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers are gifts to the Church with the sole mandate of equipping God’s people to do His work and build up the church which is the body of Christ.

This exclusive responsibility of building up God’s people for ministry requires that people who are called to be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers first build up themselves in the most holy faith according to Jude verses 20 and 21 and equip themselves in the knowledge of the Word of God as exemplified in Ezra 7:10. Apostle Tsekpoe, therefore, urged ministers to “Eat the Word, Obey the Word before you Preach the Word”.

Making reference to a quote by Pastor Oscar Muriu of Nairobi Chapel: “the larger your harvester, the bigger your harvest”, Apostle Tsekpoe, urged ministers to intentionally work at equipping more harvesters (people) for the work of ministry. He added that it is only then that they can strategically position the Church to possess the nations.
