The Berekum Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Berko, has held series of strategic meetings with officers in the Area to equip them for aggressive evangelism and church planting.
At the meetings held at sub-zonal levels, Apostle Berko anchored his message on the topic: “I am not ashamed of the Gospel” – Romans 1:14-16.
He emphasised the need to send out the Gospel which is the power of God unto salvation to all persons. He stressed that just as the Apostle Paul saw the preaching of the Gospel as a debt he owed to both the Jews and the Gentiles, so does the church owe the duty to preach the Gospel to all – the wise, unwise, rich, poor and the marginalised.
Apostle Berko enumerated some of the immediate actions that officers need to take as they prepare towards Ministries Week activities dubbed All Ministries’ Joint Rallies. He asked them to leave their comfort zones and move into the enemy’s zone with the Gospel because there is power available to the church. He further cautioned them to be aware of the evils of the day and encouraged them to do more for Christ.
“Let’s utilise the grace and favour God has given to the church in terms of members and resources to reach out to all communities,” he admonished.
He further charged them to win more souls and open churches in every community in the Area in fulfillment of the Area’s ‘Operation Open 100 Churches and Open 200 Home Churches in 2021.
“Let’s enforce Operation Water Baptism for all Converts and Operation Holy Ghost Baptism for all Members and intentionally disciple the converts and release them to live for Christ in their communities,” he stated.
