Christians have been encouraged to enter the year 2026 with bold faith and confidence, not fear, as fear has no place in the life of a believer who trusts in God.

This charge was delivered by the Ho Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, during the 31st December Watch Night Service at the Central Assembly of the Ho SSNIT Flats District.

The Apostle used the atmosphere of worship, prayer, and reflection marking the transition from 2025 into 2026 to challenge believers to confront the new year with unwavering trust in God. Preaching on the theme, “Make Use of What God Has Given to You,” anchored on 2 Peter 1:2–4, he urged Christians to fully depend on God’s divine provisions. He cautioned that allowing fear to dominate one’s life could undermine faith and hinder spiritual growth. According to him, the believer’s confidence must be rooted in the assurance that God has already supplied everything needed for life and godliness.

“The year ahead will test our faith,” he noted, “but Christians must not permit fear to control their decisions or weaken their commitment to God.” He further encouraged members to remain spiritually vigilant and resolute, stressing that God’s grace is sufficient to sustain them through every challenge they may encounter in 2026.

Concluding his message, Apostle Kwafo reminded the congregation that economic pressures, personal struggles, and uncertainties may arise, but believers must respond with righteousness, courage, and steadfast faith in God’s promises. He emphasised that a fearless faith posture would empower Christians to walk boldly in God’s will throughout the year.

In a related exhortation, the Ho SSNIT Flats District Minister, Pastor Peter Adams, encouraged members to pursue godliness, maintain hope, and demonstrate love as they enter the new year. He urged Christians to embrace the year as a fresh beginning, advising them not to fear the unknown but to approach 2026 with a positive mindset and renewed determination.

The Watch Night Service, a significant annual event in the Christian calendar, attracted worshippers who gathered to give thanks, offer prayers, make resolutions, and seek divine direction for the year ahead.
