The Agorve-Woe District in the Aflao Area of The Church of Pentecost has made food donations totalling over GH¢5,000.00 to more than 50 aged and vulnerable members in the Agorve-Woe community.
The items included bags of maize, rice, sugar, Gari, tinned tomatoes and boxes of soaps, among others.
Presenting the items, the Agorve-Woe District Minister, Pastor William Offei Antwi, stated that it came to the attention of the leadership of the church that some members of the community (particularly the aged) were in dire need of food items to survive with their families hence the donation.
“We believe that what we have done will go a long way to help these families in this COVID-19 period,” he indicated.
Dada Kafui, on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the church for the kind gesture.
Pastor Antwi commended the leadership of the Aflao Area and some benevolent individuals for their immense contribution towards the success of the exercise.
