The Afram Plains Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated 18 thermometer guns (infrared thermometers) worth GH¢6,300.00 to all the districts in compliance with the guidelines for the reopening of churches.

Making the presentation on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Sychar Assembly in Maame Krobo District, the Area Head, Pastor Victor K. Asamoah, said that the Area decided to acquire the device since the districts and the local assemblies alone cannot shoulder the burden of purchasing them.”

“As one of the basic guideline requirements, the thermometer guns will serve as a boost to all the districts in the Area as we prepare to open our churches for services,” he stated.

He, therefore, advised ministers of the church to take good care of the thermometers so that they can last for a long time. He further admonished them to seriously abide by the guidelines and protocols outlined by the Government of Ghana and heads of Churches in the fight against COVID-19.

“Implementing the protocols at the local assemblies will help guard church members from contracting this infectious disease,” he stated, while urging the Christian community to continually pray so that the Lord will heal the nations and drive away the disease from the society.

Pastor Francis Teye Kanor (Forifori District Minister), who received the items on behalf of the pastorate in the Area, expressed their appreciation to the Area Head and the Area Executive Committee for the kind gesture.

Present at the ceremony were Mrs. Rebecca Asamoah (wife of the Area Head) and all the ministers and their wives in the Area.
