The Children’s Ministry of the Airport Assembly in Yennyawoso District of The Church of Pentecost has capped off this year’s National Children’s Week Celebration with a donation to the Kumasi Children’s Home.
A delegation led by Deacon Robert Frimpong (Assistant Local Children’s Ministry Leader) visited the facility on Sunday, September 8, 2019, and donated some items including three mini bags of rice, toiletries, biscuits, assorted drinks, sugar, used clothes and footwear, diapers, milk, among others, as well as a cash of GH¢ 200.00 to the inmates.
Receiving the items on behalf of the management of the facility, the Supervisor of the Home, Mrs. Mabel Boamah, appreciated The Church of Pentecost, particularly the Children’s Ministry of the Airport Assembly for the charitable act.
“We are absolutely astounded at what these little children have done. We are most grateful to you for being considerate of your fellow children who are in dire need of assistance. God richly bless you,” she said.
She further called on other philanthropists, corporate organisations and churches to emulate the kind gesture by the Children’s Ministry of the Airport Assembly and come to their aid.
Present at the short presentation ceremony were the Local Executive Members and the workers of the Ministry, among others.
