The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, has urged Christians to make it their foremost priority to know, live, and proclaim the principles and values of the Kingdom of God.
Delivering the sermon on Friday, June 13, 2026, at the Dambai Lakeside Central Assembly in the Nkwanta Area of the Church, Apostle Nyamekye explained that believers, having been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God, must embrace the lifestyle of the new Kingdom.
“Our priority and pursuit as people of God is to know the principles and values of the Kingdom of God, live by them, and proclaim them,” he stated.
He explained that the Kingdom of God operates under a different authority, with its own rules, values, lifestyle, and ruler. Therefore, Christians must resist the temptation to carry the practices of their former life into their new walk with Christ.
“In this new Kingdom, we no longer live as wicked people under the authority of Satan. You do not translate the lifestyle of darkness into the light; rather, you shine your light in the darkness. When you come into the light, proclaim it and live it out,” he stressed.
Apostle Nyamekye further noted that the gospel, when genuinely embraced and demonstrated through transformed lives, possesses the power to bring about societal transformation.
“When we proclaim the gospel and live out the new life in Christ, it has the power to transform society. People are watching us, wanting to find out whether we are genuine and truly saved,” he said.
According to him, despite the challenges confronting nations across the world, hope remains because the
message of salvation can bring lasting change.
“Every country has a shadow story, but it does not matter. Change is possible through the gospel of salvation,” he affirmed.
Present at the service were Apostle Benjamin Quaye Offei-Badu, National Coordinator of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM); Apostle Seth Dwamena Asante, Nkwanta Area Head; Apostle Semenya Yao Dogbe, Hohoe Area Head; Apostle Charles K. Fosu, Kete-Krachi Area Head; members of the Local Council of Churches, the Area pastorate, and a large congregation of worshippers.
