The Yennyawoso District of The Church of Pentecost held a heartfelt retirement service on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Central Assembly auditorium to honour five dedicated officers who had served the Lord and His church in various capacities.

Officiated by the New Tafo Area Head, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, and assisted by the District Minister, Pastor Maxwell Adubofourh Asiedu, the event celebrated Elder Gabriel Bediako (26 years of service) along with Deaconesses Faustina Ofori (38 years), Elizabeth Ankomah (37 years), Mary Brobbey (35 years), and Patricia Antwi Boasiako (29 years).

As a token of appreciation for their steadfast dedication to God and His church, each received a citation, a certificate of service, and an unspecified cash gift.

In a twist of events, Deaconess Faustina Ofori, one of the retiring officers, donated 50 plastic chairs to the Children’s Ministry.

Prophet Tetteh Doku, speaking on “Sacrificial Service and Eternal Rewards,” anchored his sermon on 2 Corinthians 4:17–18, spotlighting the sacrificial nature of God’s work—a virtue that attracts rewards both now and eternally.

Citing Jesus’ example and Acts 2:44–45, he urged believers to serve God and humanity sacrificially. He praised the retirees for their devotion, commending their selfless contributions to God’s church.

The event witnessed a significant turnout of attendees, including Pastors Benjamin Amankwatia (Buokrom Estate District), Benjamin Yaw Okyere (Kwadaso Agric District), and P/Ovr. Richard Mpiani, together with their spouses; Mrs. Joana Amoakowaah Adubofourh Asiedu, wife of the Yennyawoso District Minister; and others.
