Pastor Isaac Fordjour, the Ashtown District Minister in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost, has urged Christians to consistently seek God’s grace in their lives, highlighting its power to resolve every argument and debate.

During the Area ‘Divine Encounter’ held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Area Revival Centre at Sepe-Buokrom, Pastor Fordjour referenced scripture from Acts 28:1-6 in his sermon titled, “The Grace that Settles the Matter.” He described grace as God’s unmerited favour towards sinners.

Drawing from the story of Paul’s encounter with a venomous snake in Malta, the clergyman criticised the tendency of individuals to unjustly jump to conclusions about others without truly knowing them. He recounted how the people wrongfully labelled Paul as a murderer when the snake bit him. They anticipated that he would suffer severe consequences, but after observing him for a while and seeing no negative effects, they changed their minds and said, “He is a god.”

According to Pastor Fordjour, Paul’s immunity to the snake’s venom was a result of divine grace, which ultimately settled the matter.

“The same people who tagged Paul as a murderer are now calling him a god. Sometimes, the devil creates false scenarios to support people’s misconceptions about you, but during such times, just pray for grace. When grace comes upon you, every argument or debate shall cease,” he stated.

Pastor Isaac Fordjour further illustrated the transformative power of divine grace by referencing figures like Jesus Christ (Matthew 27:54), David (1 Samuel 16:11-13), and Jacob (Genesis 31:1-3, 29). He emphasised that those endowed with God’s grace become untouchable and undefeatable. He, therefore, advised the congregation against engaging in arguments with those who falsely accuse them, assuring them that God’s grace will guide them through.

“Every instance of mistaken identity will be settled by the grace of God,” he concluded.
