At the invitation of Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, delivered a sermon during their annual thanksgiving service held today at the group’s headquarters in Accra.

Citing Exodus 16:1-14, Apostle Nyamekye highlighted two significant trials faced by the Israelites in the wilderness: the lack of food and water.

He explained that God’s provision of manna, or bread from heaven, was not merely to satisfy physical hunger but to point to a deeper truth—Israel’s entire existence depended on God.

He elaborated on the typological relationship between the Old and New Testaments, revealing that events in the Old Testament serve as shadows of New Testament realities.

Linking this to Jesus’ declaration in John 6:31-33, Apostle Nyamekye noted, “The bread from heaven symbolised something greater.”

He explained that just as the Israelites marveled at the mystery of manna, people in Jesus’ time were astounded by His identity.

“The mystery of Christ is great!” he declared, adding, “Jesus is more than enough for anyone who accepts Him.”

He reminded the audience that Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, embodies the fullness of God and is sufficient to meet all spiritual and physical needs.

Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong also delivered a heartfelt address during the service, reflecting on the journey of the Jospong Group over the past year.

Expressing gratitude to God, he stated, “Thanksgiving is more than a moment of gratitude; it is a recognition of divine grace and providence.”

The Executive Chairman credited the company’s successes to God’s guidance, stressing, “Jesus Christ is all we have!”

He further urged Ghanaians to thank God for His sustenance of the nation, even in the face of challenges.

Looking ahead to the 2024 elections, Dr. Siaw Agyepong called for peace and unity, urging citizens to prioritize the greater good.

“Peace and unity are more crucial than ever. Let us work together in harmony for the progress of our nation,” he stated.

Present at the service were Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, Apostles, Prophets, and Pastors of the Church, Traditional Leaders, Management and Staff of Jospong Group, and the general public.
