Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, the Director of the Evangelism Ministry of The Church Of Pentecost, declared that Jesus is the only hope for dead situations.

Speaking on the sermon titled: “Lazarus Shall Rise Again,” on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the recently held “Greater Kumasi For Christ” Crusade at the forecourt of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin noted that when all hope is lost, it is only Jesus that can revive situations.

Drawing inspiration from John 11:1-5 and 20-26, he unveiled the timeless message of hope and restoration embedded within the narrative of Lazarus.

With profound insights, the Evangelism Ministry Director delved into the intricate story of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus—intimate friends of Jesus—who faced the heart-wrenching reality of Lazarus’ passing.

He poignantly revealed, “They raised Lazarus for their future survival; he was their puppet, their hope for the future.” This narrative served as a touching reminder of how the adversary’s strategies often plunge people into darkness and despair, employing tactics of destruction, theft, and death.

Apostle Markin deftly paralleled the challenges of Mary and Martha to contemporary spiritual battles.

He compassionately noted how the devil subtly ensnares individuals, leading them away from their spiritual vigour and purpose.

However, he emphatically reassured the congregation, “With Jesus, your ‘Lazarus’ will rise again!”

“In the midst of their profound distress, Jesus intervened in the lives of Mary and Martha,” he added.

Apostle Markin beautifully highlighted, “Jesus comes in when all your hope is gone, when every joy is shut. Though the devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus comes to offer life—abundant and overflowing.”

Reflecting on John 11:14, Apostle Markin showcased the moment when Jesus declared, “Your brother, no matter how decomposed he is, will rise again!”

This proclamation resounded with the message that Christ has the power to infuse hope and restoration into the most seemingly hopeless situations.

Apostle Markin shared the two reasons behind Jesus’ tears in this poignant story.

“First, He wept because of His boundless love for every individual, regardless of their background or actions,” he expounded.

“Second, His tears revealed His observation that people struggled to believe.”

Drawing a powerful analogy, he urged listeners to remove the metaphorical stones of doubt, unbelief, and self-righteousness that hinder their spiritual growth.
