The Essam–Debiso Area of The Church of Pentecost has ordained 104 officers to strengthen leadership and advance the Church’s mission of spreading the Gospel.

The ordination ceremony, held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Debiso Central Auditorium, formed part of the Area Officers’ Retreat II, led by the Area Head, Apostle Frank Awuah Fordjour. The newly ordained officers comprised 27 Elders, 29 Deacons and 48 Deaconesses, including one visually impaired person.

Speaking at the retreat on the theme, “This Is Your Time,” drawn from Isaiah 60:1–3 and Esther 4:14, Apostle Fordjour urged the newly ordained officers and other participants to recognise their divine calling and embrace their responsibility to make a meaningful impact in their generation.

He observed that society faces challenges, including moral confusion, fear, broken homes and growing hopelessness. He, however, noted that God raises people in every generation to uphold His truth, provide godly leadership and become agents of hope and transformation.

Drawing lessons from the biblical account of Esther, Apostle Fordjour explained that the positions and opportunities people occupy can serve a divine purpose. He therefore challenged the officers to recognise the significance of their calling and respond faithfully to the demands of their time.

The Area Head emphasised the need for leaders who fear God, Christians who courageously uphold the truth, families that preserve godly values, and young people who are committed to making a positive difference in society.

He urged the officers to demonstrate integrity, remain steadfast in their faith and serve as the light and salt of their communities. He further charged them to take active roles in strengthening their local assemblies through committed leadership, the nurturing of believers and the promotion of spiritual growth.

The retreat provided an opportunity for officers to renew their commitment to God, reflect on their responsibilities and prepare for more effective service in their respective assemblies and communities.

The ordination and exhortation underscored the importance of raising committed leaders who will strengthen the Church and contribute to societal transformation through the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.
