The newly created Mokeledu District in the Sawla Area of The Church of Pentecost has been inaugurated to the glory of God. The District was carved out of the Tinga District.
The inauguration service, held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, also featured a welcome service for the first District Minister, Probationary Overseer Samuel Agyei, and his family, as well as the dedication of the District Mission House.
Preaching on the topic, “Let Your Inclusion Move the Church to the Next Level,” the Sawla Area Head, Apostle Frederick Obboh, urged ministers, officers and members to work diligently to advance the cause of the Church.
Drawing from Acts 6:1–7, he highlighted the appointment of seven Spirit-filled and wise men to address the neglect of widows in the daily distribution of food. He noted that this enabled the Apostles to devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word, resulting in the spread of the gospel, the multiplication of disciples, and the obedience of a great many priests to the faith.
Apostle Obboh encouraged members to demonstrate good character, spiritual maturity and wisdom, and to actively engage in evangelism, church planting, discipleship and resource mobilisation to help provide decent places of worship for every Local Assembly.
He further urged ministers’ wives to support their husbands and take active responsibility for the Women’s Ministry, while members were encouraged to accept and support their District Minister.
As part of the service, members of the District and Ministries Executive Committees were sworn into office, and prayers were offered for the growth, development and impact of the District.
The service was attended by Mrs Joana Mina Obboh, wife of the Area Head; members of the Area Pastorate and their wives; and officers from the Mokeledu and Tinga Districts.
The Chief of Mokeledu, Naa Jelime-gien, also attended the ceremony, underscoring the cordial relationship between the Church and the community.
Members celebrated with joy and thanksgiving as they welcomed their new pastor and looked forward to the growth and development of the new District.
