The Sawla Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, has commissioned a borehole constructed by the Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) Directorate for the Pentecost Preparatory School, Sawla (PPS-Sawla).

The borehole was constructed to provide safe drinking water for staff and pupils of the school as well as members of the Sawla community and its environs.

Speaking at the commissioning service held on Monday, February 22, 2021, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye said that Jesus is the living water who quenches the thirst of anyone who drinks of Him.

Referring to John 4:1-14, he further noted that although natural water gives life, it does not give eternal life, therefore, all must accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour because He is the water that can sustain one’s life eternally.

The Sawla Area Head entreated the final-year students, who would be the first batch of the school to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), to be serious with their studies in order to pass the exams with flying colours, in that way others would be encouraged to enrol into the school.

He also entreated the school management to ensure proper maintenance of the facility.

Pastor Maxwell Nti, the Area Local School Manager, on behalf of management and the pupils, thanked the Executive Council and the PENTSOS Directorate for the borehole and pledged to ensure it is well maintained to serve its intended purpose.

Present at the event were the ministers and wives in the Sawla Zone.
