The Hohoe Area of The Church of Pentecost in the Volta Region has drilled a borehole for the people of Dzato Akura in the Oti Region.
The Area Head, Apostle Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng, who also doubles as an Executive Council Member of the Church, commissioned the water facility in May this year.
It was part of the effort by the Church to solve the recurrent water problem in the community and to help curtail water-borne diseases.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng advised the people to take good care of the facility.
The Regent of the community, Majoin Gyato, who was full of excitement, said the provision of the borehole will go a long way to reduce the contraction of water-related diseases in the community.
He thanked The Church of Pentecost and the Hohoe Area in particular, for the kind gesture.
Present at the short ceremony were some ministers of the Church in the Hohoe Area, including Pastor Ernest Worlanyo of Tokuroano District and Overseer Henry Haywood, the Dormabin District Minister, as well as opinion leaders of the community.
