21 Children Receive Holy Spirit Baptism

A total of 21 children in the Kwabenya Point One District of The Church of Pentecost received the baptism of the Holy Spirit during a camp meeting organised by the Children’s Ministry. 12-year-old Ivy Osae also received the gift of prophecy.

The event, which took place at the Central auditorium of the Kwabenya Point One District in the Achimota Area on Monday, August 5, 2019, was attended by 248 children in the district.

Speaking on the theme, “The Personality of the Holy Spirit,” the Achimota Area Children’s Ministry Secretary, Deacon Nana-Owusu Derek, expounded on who the Holy Spirit is, His personality, the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit and how to receive Him.

Reading from Acts 2:17, he explained that children are also included in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The children were put into seven groups where they were taught comprehensively on the roles and benefits of the Holy Spirit. They were then led into intensive prayer session for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Present at the event were Sunday School teachers and some youth members.
