The Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, has emphasised that the power of the Holy Spirit remains the divine source of strength and empowerment for transforming nations and societies for Christ.
He delivered the message in a presentation titled “Baptism and Infilling of the Holy Spirit: Divine Source of Strength and Empowerment for the Unleashing Agenda” at the Conférence des Ministres et Épouses (CME-Francophone) held at the Palais des Congrès de Lomé on February 20, 2026.
According to Apostle Bekoe, societal transformation can only occur when the true gospel of Christ is proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit, stressing that the Spirit remains central to victorious Christian living and effective ministry.
He described the Holy Spirit as the “heart” of the believer, explaining that just as the heart pumps blood to sustain the human body, the Spirit empowers every aspect of the Christian life.
He further likened the Holy Spirit to an engine that propels an aircraft, noting that no meaningful Christian work can be accomplished without His power.
Apostle Bekoe explained that the Holy Spirit is not merely a force or influence but God Himself — the third person of the Godhead — who dwells in believers as a guide, counsellor, and source of divine empowerment.
He noted that the Spirit’s primary mandate is to reveal Christ, seal believers as God’s possession, and anoint them for service.
He therefore urged ministers and believers to depend fully on the Holy Spirit to advance the Church’s mission of possessing nations and transforming society.
