Yennyawoso District Inaugurates Professionals Guild

The Yennyawoso District in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, October 13, 2019, inaugurated the Pentecost Professionals Guilds at the Central Assembly auditorium.

The professional guilds, which are the professional groupings in the Church such as health, educationists, banking and finance, artisans, security, among others, serves as platform for the church to reach out to the unsaved as well as influencing the worldviews of the various professional spectrums in the country with the Gospel message of Christ Jesus and Christian virtues.

Speaking at the event with Colossians 3:23-24 as scripture reference, the District Minister, Pastor Charles Oduro, explained that the inauguration was in line with the Church’s Vision 2023 dubbed, “Possessing the Nations” which enjoins members to transform every sphere of the society with the principles and values of the Kingdom of God.

He explained that God has a will for everyone on this earth. However, he said, if someone does not know God’s will for his life, such a person does things anyhow.

“You must not denigrate your competency and do things anyhow when you are entrusted with a responsibility, but do it with all seriousness because that might open a way for God’s will to be fulfilled in your life,” he advised.

Pastor Oduro further noted that every Christian is endued with ethereal quality by which God expects them to cause positive transformation wherever they find themselves.

He, therefore, charged the gathering to live a distinguished life by exhibiting godliness at all times, especially in their various fields of work to draw others to Christ since they are agents of transformation.

He finally admonished them to serve with a committed heart and good intention for inheritance awaits them as a reward for their hearty services.

Present at the launch were Mrs Gladys Oduro (wife of the District Pastor), District Executive Committee Members, among others.
