The Yennyawoso District of The Church of Pentecost in the New Tafo Area has distributed some relief items worth GH₵ 12,100.00 to the needy and the less privileged members of the church.
The distribution of the items, which took place from April 6 to 8, 2020, was aimed at cushioning members to mitigate the toll the lockdown might have taken on them.
The items include 46 bags of rice, 18 boxes of cooking oil and 21 boxes of sardines.
The beneficiaries, numbering 230, expressed their delight to the District Minister, Pastor Charles Oduro, and the entire church for the gesture and commended them for the opportune move.
The church is committed to support members who are in dire need in times such as this.
As part of the precautionary measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced two weeks partial lockdown in the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.
