The Women’s Director of The Church of Pentecost, Deaconess Philomina Mireku, has paid a three-day working visit to the Berekum Area of the church in the Bono Region.

She was accompanied by her deputy, Deaconess Vivian Ofusua Amfo, and the National Secretary, Deaconess Dr. Gladys Quartey.

The visit, which took place from August 9-11, 2021 was to allow her and her team to share the ministry’s four-year strategic vision with the leaders of the ministry in the Area and to encourage women at all levels to revive and demonstrate the virtues and ideals of a Christian woman.

Speaking separately at the four zonal centres in the Area, namely Dormaa, Goka, Berekum and Drobo, Mrs. Philomina Mireku stated: “The vision statement of the Women’s Ministry is to practically equip women and ladies in the church to influence all spheres of society with our Christlike character, evangelism and service.”

She stressed on the need for the ministry at all levels (Area, District and Local levels) to be guided by the vision in its activities.

Referring to Titus 2:3-5, the Director encouraged women in the church to revive the high moral standards and good practices such as prayer, evangelism, service, and integrity that were set by their forbearers.

The Area Head, Apostle Samuel Berko, and his wife, Mrs. Joyce Berko, together with the Area Women’s Ministry leaders, accompanied the Director and her team throughout her trekking.

Ministers and their wives were present at all meetings to demonstrate their support for the activities of the Women’s Ministry.

Report by Pastor Daniel Fosu, Berekum.
