Twifo Wawase District Shines In Agriculture, Wins Top Faith-Based Organization Award

Twifo Wawase, Central Region – The Twifo Wawase District of The Church of Pentecost has been adjudged the Best Faith-Based Organisation in Agriculture in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District, Central Region, for the year 2025.

The award, presented during the 41st Central Regional Farmers Day celebration held at Foso College of Education Park, Assin Foso, recognises the district’s outstanding efforts in promoting agricultural development.

Led by District Minister, Pastor Isaiah Nwikya Katakyi, the Twifo Wawase District has diversified its agricultural portfolio, boasting an impressive range of produce, including pigs, birds, oil palm, coconut, maize, plantains, cassava, and various vegetables.

The district has also embarked on tree planting, with over 300 trees planted, aligning with the Green Ghana Initiative. This achievement is a testament to the district’s commitment to environmental sustainability and food security.

Receiving the award, Pastor Katakyi expressed gratitude to God, church members, and all stakeholders who contributed to the district’s success. He urged faith-based organizations to engage in agriculture and other ventures to improve livelihoods.

The award ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, and the Central Regional Member of Council of State, Hon. Hakeem Addae.
