Elder Godson Boateng of the Abofour New Town District in the Offinso Area has been revealed as the top soul winner in The Church of Pentecost in 2022 after single-handedly winning a total of 175 souls.

All the souls won by the elder have since been baptised and have become active members of the Church.

The second lead soul winner was Deaconess Comfort Amoako of Dunkwa District in the Dunkwa Area of the Church, who also won 71 souls for the Lord.

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, commended the two top soul winners when presenting his State-of-the-Church address at the 46th Session of the General Council Meetings on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), at Gomoah Fetteh.

He attributed the Church’s success to members’ commitment to the cause of the gospel.

He stated: “It is pleasing to note that Elder Godson Boateng of the Abofour New Town District in the Offinso Area had single-handedly won and baptised 175 souls. He was adjudged the best soul winner in the Area and was awarded a certificate and a cash prize of GHS 1,000.00 as motivation.”

The Chairman also disclosed that Deaconess Comfort Amoako of the Dunkwa District in the Dunkwa Area single-handedly won 71 souls for the Lord.

He encouraged all church members to inculcate the passion for sharing the gospel of Christ everywhere, focusing on winning souls for Christ, as it is the core mandate of every Christian.

He stressed that Christians are to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all God commanded, quoting Matthew 28:19.
