“The Pastor’s Wife” Book Launched

Renowned Ghanaian media personality, Peggy Ama Donkor of The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has launched a new book titled, “The Pastor’s Wife.”

The book, which was launched on March 31, 2024, at the Burma Camp Worship Centre of The Church of Pentecost in Accra, was written in memory of the late Mrs. Hannah Osei-Korsah, former wife of Apostle Dr Philip Osei-Korsah (Director of the Counselling Ministry of The Church of Pentecost) who suddenly passed on to glory about two years ago at age 48.

Through extensive research, Peggy gathered tributes from family, friends, and institutions where the deceased made an impact and highlighted them in the book.

The book gives readers insight into the lifestyles of the wives of pastors in general and the roles they play or are expected to play.

Peggy, in her bid to keep readers glued to the book, explores tragic suspense by asking several questions in the early chapters, leaving the reader in eager expectations of the answers to such questions.

“The Pastor’s Wife” also provides a unique perspective on the personal lifestyles of ministers’ wives as the author captures the views of thirty-five pastor’s wives from various denominations across the globe.

It also highlights some of the challenges faced by pastors’ wives while supporting their husbands in the Lord’s work.

However, the author does not just end by highlighting these challenges, she goes on to make recommendations on how to help ministers’ wives curb the challenges.

Apart from serving ministers’ wives, Peggy had something for newly ordained ministers’ wives as she lists five points to serve as a guideline for them, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, prayerfulness, approachability, and a motherly mindset.
