The 2025 Headquarters Management and Staff Retreat of The Church of Pentecost continued at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) on December 11, with Apostle Professor Peter Ohene Kyei (Retd) delivering an insightful presentation on the significance of teamwork and collaboration.
Apostle Prof. Kyei underscored the vital role of teamwork and collaboration in attaining excellence, using the Boeing 747 aircraft as an example. He explained that the aircraft comprises six million parts manufactured in different countries, demonstrating the necessity of coordinated effort. He noted that effective teamwork and collaboration require a high degree of professionalism and punctuality, adding that unity is a powerful force capable of transforming impossibilities into possibilities.
He stressed that teamwork is not about individual accomplishments but about working collectively towards a shared objective, placing group cohesion and efficiency above personal interests. To illustrate this, Apostle Prof. Kyei referenced biblical examples such as Moses and his seventy elders, and Jesus with His twelve disciples, highlighting the strength found in collaborative effort.
Encouraging participants to pursue excellence, Apostle Prof. Kyei remarked that excellence attracts recognition and reward, and is underpinned by values such as integrity, trustworthiness, and discipline. He urged them to stand out in their endeavours, citing Daniel 6:3, and reminded them that their quest for holiness should guide their pursuit of excellence (Colossians 3:23).
In conclusion, Apostle Kyei affirmed that teamwork and collaboration foster a sense of belonging, stimulate innovation, and enhance job satisfaction, and should ultimately reflect the character of God.
