The Kete-Krachi Area of The Church of Pentecost, has demonstrated its commitment to social intervention by donating essential food items to Kete-Krachi Prisons on Monday, February 9, 2026. The initiative aligns with the Church’s Unleashing agenda and aims to improve the welfare of inmates.

The donation drive was spearheaded by the Area Head, Ps Charles K. Fosu, and coordinated by Overseer Bright Otoo, the Area Prisons Ministry Coordinator. Most pastors within the Area participated in the event, underscoring the collective support for the noble cause.

Items donated included 60 bowls of maize, 40 bowls of gari, 7 bags of 5kg rice, 2 bags of 50kg rice, 7 bars of key soap, 1 bowl of groundnuts, 1 can of 5-liter cooking oil, and 187 tubers of yams.

Speaking during the presentation, Ps Fosu emphasized that the Church’s vision extends beyond winning souls to enhancing the welfare of individuals. “We are committed to social intervention to transform society in line with the Possessing the Nations agenda of the Church,” he stated.

The Church team also surveyed a facility being developed into a Skills Development Centre for inmates. The Centre will offer vocational training and counseling, providing inmates with opportunities for personal growth and successful reintegration into society.

The prisons officials expressed gratitude for the donations, assuring that the items would be used to benefit the inmates.

The Kete-Krachi Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Charles K. Fosu, has called on ministers to embody godly virtues that lead to effective ministry.

He made this appeal during a three-day Pre-Easter Retreat for all ministers and their wives in the Kete-Krachi Area, speaking on the theme: “Characteristics of an Effective Minister” (1 Timothy 4:12–15).

Pastor Fosu defined effectiveness as the ability to achieve an intended purpose. He noted that a truly effective minister is one who accomplishes the mission for which he has been sent — a calling that requires both spiritual depth and practical leadership skills.

Quoting Matthew 28:20, he encouraged ministers to teach sound doctrine and uphold biblical truth. “We are called not just to speak, but to impart truth that transforms lives,” he emphasised.

Citing 1 Samuel 12:23, Pastor Fosu underscored the importance of intercession, urging ministers to regularly fast and engage in intentional prayer for their members.

He reminded ministers of their divine mandate to bear lasting fruit through soul-winning, church planting, water baptism, and financial stewardship. He encouraged diligence in all aspects of ministry and cautioned against complacency, referencing Philippians 3:12–14.

Pastor Fosu also stressed the minister’s role as an agent of transformation, urging them to initiate impactful projects and create thriving environments in their districts. “Make your district heaven and live there,” he advised.

He further encouraged ministers to be able to organise effectively, win the hearts of their members, and operate in their spiritual gifts.

In concluding his message, Pastor Fosu shared practical tips for long-term ministerial effectiveness: consistent Bible study, hard work, and unwavering faithfulness. He also advised ministers to care for their health, visit members regularly, and pray with and for them.

“Set clear goals for your district. Pursue the vision of the Church. Let faithfulness be your compass,” he exhorted, referencing 1 Corinthians 4:2.

He ended with a strong caution against greed, urging contentment and responsible management of resources provided at both district and local levels.

The Church of Pentecost (CoP) Headquarters, through its Missions Board, has donated GH₵50,000.00 to the Kete Krachi Area to support gospel work in two remote districts.

The donation facilitated the purchase of two brand-new Apsonic motorbikes, which have been presented to the Osramani and Kwaakuae Districts. These motorbikes will greatly enhance the mobility of ministers, enabling them to carry out evangelistic and pastoral duties more effectively.

In a further show of partnership, the Achimota Area, under the dynamic leadership of Apostle Joseph Danzerl, provided additional logistical support by donating two tricycles to the Kojoboni and Osramani Districts. These vehicles will assist with transportation and other church-related activities.

Understanding the unique geographical challenges faced by some assemblies, the Achimota Area also contributed an impressive GH₵65,000.00 to the Lakeside District. This amount is designated for the construction of a boat and the purchase of an outboard motor, crucial for reaching Lakeside local assemblies accessible only by water.

This combined generosity reflects the Church’s steadfast commitment to missions and the empowerment of rural and underserved districts.

Indeed, this is a significant blessing and a powerful expression of the Church’s vision to possess the nations.
