God Rewards Faithful Service – Chairman Encourages Leaders During Weija Area Visitation

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, has commenced a four-day working visit to the newly created Weija Area, beginning on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with an impactful All Officers’ Session held at the New Weija Central (Mandela).

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and expectation as officers and church leaders gathered to receive spiritual impartation. The Chairman, equally energised and purposeful, delivered a poignant message grounded in Hebrews 6:9–10 and Psalm 103:1–5, reminding leaders that although the Church does not remunerate with money, God Himself faithfully rewards the labour of His servants.

“God is a rewarder; He is not unjust,” he stated, encouraging officers to work even harder now that the Weija Area – carved out of the Kasoa Area earlier this year – has been fully established and entrusted to their stewardship.

Drawing further from 1 Chronicles 9:10–11 and 11:10–11, Apostle Dr Nyamekye highlighted that God remembers those who support His work. “David’s helpers were mentioned by name to show that no one who serves faithfully is ever forgotten,” he noted. He urged leaders to actively support their Area Head and contribute wholeheartedly to building a strong and vibrant Area.

The Chairman emphasised faithfulness as the primary support every leader must bring; faithfulness in prayer, faithfulness in handling church resources, and faithfulness in performing all duties through the power of the Holy Spirit. Quoting Richard Baxter, he reminded them that ministers must continually seek “light, life, and strength from God,” for human ability alone is insufficient for the sacred work of ministry.

He admonished church leaders, especially preachers, to cultivate a strong prayer life. “A prayerless ministry brings loss to God’s church,” he cautioned. Members, he added, must also pray for their pastors. “We do not qualify to criticise pastors we do not pray for,” he said, advising leaders to lovingly correct those who specialise in fault-finding rather than supporting the ministry.

Referencing Jonathan Edwards, the Chairman remarked that many ministers would achieve far more if believers used the same energy spent on criticism to pray for them. “You cannot change what you do not love,” he said, warning that yielding to the enemy’s accusing spirit weakens church leadership.

Apostle Dr Nyamekye further assured the officers that God’s presence is the true beauty and power of the Church. He urged them not to oppose the Church but to appreciate its divine heritage. “Believe in the God of this Church. Bless the Church, and it will bless you in return,” he concluded.

Also in attendance were Mrs Mary Nyamekye, wife of the Chairman; Apostle Isaac Amatey Anim, Weija Area Head; ministers and their wives; retirees and widows; Area Executive Committee members; and Pastor Benjamin Quaye Ofei-Badu (National Coordinator for HUM)

Apostle Dr Nyamekye Inspects Projects In Essam-Debiso

Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, conducted a visit on November 20, 2025, to social projects funded by Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) and the National Women’s Ministry in the Essam-Debiso Area, demonstrating the Church’s commitment to community development.

The visit began at the Pentecost Clinic in Yawmatwa, under the leadership of Professor Dr Godwin Ayitey. The clinic operates fully with a dedicated staff managing daily activities.

However, Dr Ayitey highlighted an urgent need for a Theatre and Operating Room to handle major cases locally, as current referrals to nearby hospitals sometimes jeopardize patient safety. Apostle Dr Nyamekye acknowledged the request and assured that the Church would consider this critical need.

Following the clinic, the Chairman toured two Skills Training Centres located in Yawmatwa and Essam. At the Yawmatwa centre, 27 students are undergoing a two-year dressmaking course.

Mrs Bernice Boateng, Head of the Centre, explained that upon completion, trainees receive stipends to help start their own businesses, empowering them with skills and economic opportunities.

The team also visited a fully funded hairdressing salon managed by Mary Osei Tutu. Similarly, the hairdressing training lasts two years, and each trainee will receive a hair dryer as part of their starter kit, enhancing their readiness for employment or entrepreneurship.

These impactful projects were established under the visionary leadership of Pastor Frank Awuah Fordjour, who, upon his appointment to oversee the Essam-Debiso Area, successfully introduced and integrated PENTSOS initiatives to uplift the community.

This visit underscores The Church of Pentecost’s ongoing dedication to social welfare and sustainable development through strategic investment in health and vocational training.

Hold Authority With Humility – Apostle Dr Nyamekye To Heads

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, has admonished ministers and leaders of the Church to uphold the divine authority entrusted to them with humility, whilst actively generating the spiritual power needed to execute their mandate effectively.

Delivering the opening sermon at the November 2025 Heads’ Meeting at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) on the theme, “Authority and Power,” Apostle Dr Nyamekye explained that although all heads within the Church have been conferred with some level of authority, that authority alone without spiritual power is inadequate for impactful ministry.

Drawing from John 1:12 and Acts 1:8, the Chairman established the synonymy yet distinction between the two concepts. Authority, he noted, is delegated; the right to determine, adjudicate or settle issues, whilst power is the ability and enablement to act and produce results.

“Authority without power is embarrassing,” he stressed. “If leaders go days without fasting, without prayer, without spending time with God, they may still carry the authority, but they will lack the power to deliver. Your power enhances your authority; the reverse is not true.”

Apostle Dr Nyamekye reminded heads of the church that authority is always questioned, and its source examined just as demons questioned the sons of Sceva in Acts 19:13–16, saying they knew Jesus and Paul, but not the others. Because authority is conferred, the Chairman indicated that it is not absolute and, therefore, has limits.

He advised leaders to walk within the boundaries of their jurisdictions and to respect internal systems, including financial limits, established procedures, and reporting structures within the Church. Consultation, he said, must be prioritised when ministers are uncertain — rather than relying solely on personal discretion.

According to him, authority is meant to build, solve problems, answer questions, and meet needs, but when it fails in doing so, chaos, disorder, and ministry frustration can follow. He warned that God does not countenance those who disrespect or abuse authority, and stated that authority can also be revoked.

Apostle Nyamekye emphasised that power must be intentionally generated and sustained through spiritual discipline, godly character formation, growth in grace, and a deepened knowledge of God.

“More of God means more holiness, and more holiness means more power,” he declared, adding, “Knowing the God of the Bible is an expedition.”

He further noted that spiritual power, once generated, must be jealously guarded because yesterday’s anointing is not sufficient for today’s challenges. Ministry, he said, demands continuous renewal.

Concluding, the Chairman reminded ministers that they are stewards, not owners of the authority entrusted to them. He charged them to exercise their roles with reverence, sobriety, accountability, and humility, always staying within the confines of the authority granted by God and by the Church.

Step Out And Display Christ To All – Apostle Nyamekye Urges Believers

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has called on Christians to deeply appreciate the miraculous gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and to respond by dedicating their lives to His service, without expecting immediate rewards.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Peaceful Co-existence Conference, held from Wednesday, July 9 to Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, Apostle Nyamekye underscored the importance of wholehearted commitment to the work of God.

He stated the need for the introduction of more ministries in the Church, noting that as the Church continues to grow, its ministries must also broaden to effectively reach more people.

‘We must become all things to all people so that by all possible means, we might win some for Christ,’ he stated.

Apostle Nyamekye urged Christians not to remain idle while unbelievers perish. He encouraged members of The Other Sheep Ministry to use wisdom and discernment in reaching out to people of other faiths, drawing them to the Lord.

He reminded participants that any pursuit of excellence and significance requires effort and perseverance, saying, ‘The path the Church has called you to walk will demand determination and courage. It takes tremendous discipline to live a life worthy of a disciple so as to please God.’

According to the Chairman, not everyone is willing to work for God, as such work often lacks immediate and tangible rewards. However, he stressed that the eternal value of serving God far outweighs any earthly gain. He concluded by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of The Other Sheep Ministry and assured them of the Church’s unwavering support in their mission.

Apostle Nyamekye Urges Believers To Reflect Their Divine Identity Through Godly Conduct

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches (GPCC), Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has called on Christians to reflect their divine identity through godly conduct in every aspect of life.

Speaking during a communion service on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Abeka Central Assembly, Apostle Nyamekye provided an in-depth explanation of the Church’s established Rules of Conduct, asserting that members of the church are part of God’s household, redeemed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Quoting 1 Timothy 3:14–15, he urged believers to live in a way that draws others to Christ, stating, ‘We should conduct ourselves so that outsiders will want to join the family of God.’

He added:‘Everyone born again is bought by His blood. As members of this household, our conduct must reflect that holy heritage.’

Apostle Nyamekye outlined key areas of Christian conduct, beginning with personal devotion. He encouraged members to set aside daily time for prayer and meditation on the Word, referencing Psalm 1:1–2.

On corporate worship, he advised believers to prepare spiritually through fasting, especially on Fridays and birthdays, and be punctual at church, stating, ’If you arrive in church late, do not greet others; sit quietly and prepare your heart.’

Addressing family life, he reminded parents of their duty to raise children in the fear of the Lord, citing Joshua 24:15. He also encouraged members to support their pastors as both leaders and friends.

On communal living, Apostle Nyamekye urged believers to treat the church as their spiritual home, love one another, and avoid gossip or disrespectful speech.

He also spoke on worship etiquette, encouraging reverence, attentiveness, and heartfelt praise.

Touching on sexual ethics, he quoted Hebrews 13:4, affirming the importance of chastity and marital fidelity. He also called for integrity in business, urging members to avoid dishonest practices and harmful substances like alcohol, cigarettes, and narcotics (Proverbs 21:6).

‘Be the best father, mother, teacher, student, and be exemplary everywhere you go,’ he charged members of the church.

Also present at the service were Mrs Mary Nyamekye, wife of the Chairman; Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, Executive Council Member and Kaneshie Area Head, with his wife Elizabeth; Pastor Paul Danso of the Abeka District, among others.

Apostle Nyamekye Challenges Believers to Seek Eternal Purpose web

Apostle Nyamekye Challenges Believers to Seek Eternal Purpose

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has underscored the need for spiritual transformation in today’s world, urging believers to embrace a life centred on Christ by moving beyond material pursuits to attain eternal significance.

‘A new life is not about money, jobs, houses, or cars,’ Apostle Nyamekye stated. ‘It is the life of God in man—eternal life that begins when we believe in Jesus Christ.’

He said this on Sunday, May 25, 2025, during a sermon he presented titled: ‘The World Needs a New Life,’ at the Merry Villas District in the La Area of the church.

Referencing John 14:6, he highlighted that true life is found in Christ alone. He further explained that without Christ, individuals are prone to immoral behaviours, as outlined in Galatians 5:19.

He stated: ‘Without Christ, you cannot bear good fruits; the fruits of the Spirit.’

Drawing from 2 Corinthians 4:10-11, Apostle Nyamekye indicated that the life of Christ should be evident in every aspect of a believer’s life, saying, ‘Our worldly body will perish, but the life of Christ in us should be revealed in our speech and conduct so that others may come to know Him.’

He stressed the importance of preaching the message of new life systematically, citing 1 John 5:12 and John 20:31. According to him, there are two kinds of people in this world: children of God and the others, revealing that if a person dies in their sin, there is no repentance for them.

Apostle Nyamekye also highlighted the significance of Gospel Sundays, encouraging believers to share their testimonies and preach the gospel as if addressing those outside the church.

‘We are reminded to preach the gospel and tell of the salvation message of Christ; how you have been saved from your old life into a new one,’ he noted.

He called on church leaders to equip members with the necessary tools to evangelise effectively. He bemoaned that most Christians do not know how to bring people to Christ. ‘As leaders, we should make intentional efforts to teach our members how to win souls,’ he advised.

Concluding his message, Apostle Nyamekye challenged believers to make soul-winning a personal mission, saying, ‘We must make it a habit to bring at least one soul to Christ.’

“More Blessed To Give Than To Receive” — Chairman Defends Church’s Social Interventions

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has reiterated that the Church’s growing investment in national infrastructure and community development is not a show of affluence, but a faithful expression of biblical values.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Pentecost Fire Station on May 14, 2025, Apostle Nyamekye quoted Acts 20:35: “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” emphasising that the Church’s developmental projects stem from a Christ-centred mission, not from financial surplus.

“We are doing all these not because we have in abundance,” he explained, “but to demonstrate the love of Christ and contribute meaningfully to national growth.”

He further quoted former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, saying, “What is done for the community lives beyond the individual,” to underscore the Church’s vision of creating lasting impact through legacy-driven development.

The Chairman noted that the newly commissioned fire station is part of broader church-led interventions that strengthen Ghana’s national security and emergency response systems. He reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to strategic partnerships with government institutions to advance national development.

Apostle Nyamekye listed some of the Church’s key infrastructure projects, including two police stations, two prison reformation centres (Ejura and Nsawam), with additional centres under construction at Obuasi and Damongo. The Damongo facility is expected to be commissioned in June 2025.

In the social sector, the Church has also made significant strides. Between 2019 and 2024, it installed 239 mechanised boreholes across underserved communities, benefitting more than 110,000 people. The Church is currently constructing five new health facilities—including a specialist hospital—to add to its 12 existing medical centres.

Apostle Nyamekye emphasised that these efforts are not merely acts of charity, but a practical demonstration of the Church’s mission to transform society with Kingdom values.

“As a church, we believe that we have been called not only to worship God but also to serve His purpose within society,” he said.

Jesus Is God’s Seed web

Jesus Is God’s Seed – Apostle Nyamekye Reveals

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has revealed that Jesus is the Seed of God who was buried, sprouted, and grown to enable believers to bear fruit.

According to Apostle Nyamekye, the death of Jesus marks the second time that God reached out to reclaim the surviving remnant of His people, following the gathering of Israel.

‘Jesus is God’s seed,’ he reiterated. ‘Jesus lives in us; He is the seed of God, and the most important part of the story was to bury Him. Through His death, He lives in us; that is Christ in you and me,’ he said.

Apostle Nyamekye was speaking on the topic, ‘We Would Like to See Jesus,’ referencing John 12:20-21, during the Easter Convention in the Suame Area on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025.

Expounding on Isaiah 11:10-12, which speaks of God’s promise to gather a remnant of His people a second time, Apostle Nyamekye explained the events that led to the fulfillment of this prophecy from the Old to the New Testaments.

Quoting John 11:49, he indicated how the resurrection of Lazarus by Jesus sparked anger and concern among the Jewish religious leaders. He asserted that the miracle caused many people to start believing in Jesus, which put pressure on the religious leaders as many were deserting them.

‘What Caiaphas instilled in the minds of the people was to kill Jesus to save their city from destruction. This was a prophecy made by the high priest, not just for the city but to gather all the children of God together. From there, they devised a plan to kill Jesus,’ he added.

Apostle Nyamekye outlined how these occurrences fitted perfectly into God’s timeline, leading to Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion. He noted that Jesus could be accessed by the rest of the world, disclosing that some Greeks had appealed to Philip, expressing their desire to see Jesus as an approach to gathering other nations.

‘They made the request because they could not see Jesus, as they were not set apart,’ he explained. ‘Jesus, upon hearing their request, revealed that unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.’

‘Jesus needed to be buried as a seed to be accessed by all. This act is the second time God gathered the rest of the remnant,’ he continued.

Apostle Nyamekye stressed that no one born of God will continue in sin because the seed of God remains in them.

He further urged believers to recognise that the death of Jesus has brought newness and transformation into their lives, hence the need to live for Him and forsake their former ways.

‘What is our response to God who gave us His only begotten Son? What shall we render unto God for what He has done for us?’ he asked. ‘We must proclaim His death by lifting the cup of salvation.’
