The Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost has provided financial support to 38 brilliant but needy students who are pursuing tertiary education at the various universities in the country.

The Area in 2019 spent GH¢ 97,166.53 on the payment of academic and user fees of the beneficiaries who are enrolled in the Pentecost Educational Scholarship Scheme (PESS-SA).

The Area Head, Apostle Anthony Eghan Kwesi Ekuban, who disclosed this in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS on February 9, 2020, at the L. A. Nyarko Memorial Sanctuary in Suhum, said that the gesture was part of the church’s commitment towards supporting brilliant but needy students to realize their aspirations in life.

He indicated that the scholarship package comprised payment of full fees for fresh and continuing students. It also caters for members who are into apprenticeship and students in vocational and technical training institutions.

“So far, the Area has enrolled 44 beneficiaries into the scholarship scheme, consisting of six apprentices and 38 students,” he revealed.

Since the introduction of the scholarship scheme in 2016, the Suhum Area has assisted students and apprentices to attain academic excellence and vocational training.
