The National Coordinator of the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Frank Mensah Tandoh, has successfully conducted grassroots training sessions for ministry leaders across Ghana.
The nation was strategically divided into three belts – Northern, Southern, and Middle – to streamline the initiative.
The training began on March 8, 2025, targeting the Northern belt. Elder Daniel Yaw Sarfo, a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC), and Elder Gideon Ofori Antwi, the SOM Secretary, participated in sessions held in the Wa and Walewale Areas, respectively.
On March 15, 2025, the programme shifted focus to the Southern belt, covering the Greater Accra, Central, Western, and Volta regions.
Pastor Tandoh engaged leaders in the Tema Area, while the SOM Committee Chairman, Apostle Professor Joseph Ignatius Teye Buertey, attended sessions in the Kaneshie Area. Members of the National Executive Committee of the ministry also visited Ashaiman, Madina, Achimota, Cape Coast, and Odorkor areas.
The training series concluded on March 22, 2025, with sessions in the Middle belt, which comprises the Eastern, Ashanti, and Bono regions.
Through these sessions, key topics including the concept of the SOM, its vision pillars, reporting formats, and stakeholder expectations were captured. On the same day, Pastor Tandoh extended the training to the Volta and Oti regions, conducting a session in the Sogakope Area with a focus on ministry modules and reporting frameworks.
The initiative drew significant participation, with Area Heads and District Ministers actively involved, reflecting the ministry’s dedication to grassroots development and leadership empowerment.
