The Shiloh House Choir of Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Cape Coast, in collaboration with Scripture Union (SU) Central Region—Cape Coast Area, has organised the Shiloh Hi-Skul Valentine Festival under the theme, ‘My First Love.’
The event, which took place on Valentine’s Day in Cape Coast, aimed to provide a Christ-centred alternative to secular Valentine’s Day celebrations, engaging students through music, mentoring, drama, and spiritual impartation.
A total of 523 students from twelve senior high schools and technical institutes across the Central Region participated in the event. The schools present included Aburaman SHS, Abakrampa SHS, Adisadel College, Mfantsipim SHS, Twifo Hemang SHTS, Oguaa SHS, Jukwa SHS, Ghana National College, Nyamkumasi Ahenkro SHS, Cape Coast Technical Institute, Asuansi Technical Institute, and University Practice SHS. Additionally, 18 patrons attended to support the programme.
The festival featured impactful activities, including powerful music ministration by the Shiloh House Choir of PIWC-Cape Coast, creating an atmosphere of worship and praise. Mentoring sessions provided students with biblical guidance on faith, relationships, and personal development. A thought-provoking drama presentation reinforced the theme ‘My First Love,’ emphasising the importance of prioritising a relationship with Christ over worldly pleasures.
The word ministration was the highlight of the event, leading to an altar call where 45 students made commitments to Christ. This moment of spiritual awakening demonstrated the effectiveness of the programme in drawing young people closer to God.

The Hi-Skul Valentine Festival was a remarkable success, leaving a lasting spiritual and emotional impact on all attendees. The collaboration between Scripture Union Central Region—Cape Coast Area and the Shiloh House Choir of PIWC-Cape Coast contributed to a well-organised and transformative experience. The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to all participating schools, patrons, and volunteers for their unwavering support in making the event a memorable one.
