The newly created Sakumono Area of The Church of Pentecost has been officially inaugurated, marking a significant milestone in the church’s expansion drive.
The ceremony, held over the weekend, also witnessed the introduction of the first Area Head, Apostle Samuel Nana Yaw Agyei, and his wife, Mrs Nora Agyei.
The inauguration service, which attracted ministers, officers and members of the church was graced by the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Oboubi, who delivered the sermon on the theme: “His Bride – The Church.”
Apostle Oboubi urged believers to remain committed to holy living as the bride of Christ, stressing that the church must be “without spot or wrinkle, holy and blameless” in preparation for the marriage supper of the Lamb. He reminded Christians that being called by the name of Christ is both a privilege and a responsibility.
The newly appointed Area Head, Apostle Samuel Nana Yaw Agyei, will oversee the spiritual growth and administrative affairs of the Area. Together with his wife, Mrs Nora Agyei, he was warmly welcomed by the congregation, who expressed joy and optimism about the future of the new Area.
The creation of the Sakumono Area out of the Teshie-Nungua Area is part of the church’s continuous efforts to bring pastoral care closer to its members while strengthening its evangelistic and discipleship mandate.
The event concluded with prayers for the newly inaugurated Area Head and his leadership, as well as a renewed charge to members to uphold righteousness and faithfulness in their walk with Christ.
