Nana Afia Nyantah II, the Baamuhemaa of Bekwai, attended the inauguration ceremony for the Ashanti Bekwai Area Chieftaincy Ministry of The Church of Pentecost as a guest of honour. Little did she know that she was going to have a personal encounter with Christ.
Nana Nyantah made the decision to accept Jesus as her Lord and personal Saviour last Friday at the Bekwai Central Assembly after an exhortation delivered by Pastor Paul Quansah at the colourful event.
In his sermon, titled: “Using the Chieftaincy Institution to Achieve Vision 2023, Pastor Quansah explained that the aim of the five-year strategic vision of the church (Vision 2023) is to “possess the nations” by transforming every sphere of society with the values and principles of the kingdom of God.
He noted that the Chieftaincy institution is one of the most important institutions in society. He stressed that the chieftaincy institution is a noble institution through which God governs the affairs of men and, therefore, advised Christians to change their negative perception of chieftaincy.
Pastor Quansah also advised chiefs, queen mothers and royals to rule with God’s love, respect, and integrity.
The inauguration ceremony of the Ashanti Bekwai Area Chieftaincy Ministry, which was officiated by the Area Head, Apostle Fred Tiakor, had in attendance 26 royals, the area pastorate and their wives, as well as officers and members of the church.
