The Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle S.Y. Antwi has charged all Christians, especially members of the church, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with urgency because many are dying without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Antwi made this passionate call during the launch of the One Member, One Discipled Soul initiative of the Cape Coast Area at the Adisadel Assembly church auditorium on October 27, 2019.

Speaking on the topic, “The Urgency Of The Gospel,” the Cape Coast Area Head underscored the urgent need for Christians to reach out to unbelievers with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. He reminded Christians of the divine mandate they have been given by the Lord to preach the gospel to all people.

“We are mandated by Christ to go into the world and make disciples; to make disciples, we first ought to preach the gospel,” he said.

He noted that it is the responsibility of every Christian to preach to unbelievers that unless they believe and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour they are hell-bound. He, therefore, urged them to reach out to unbelievers in their communities, families and wherever they go with the gospel message of Christ.

Referring to 1Corinthians 9:15-17, Apostle Antwi remarked that Paul had to deny all his rights just for the sake of the Gospel because he felt compelled to preach the good news about Christ.

He advised Christians to emulate Paul’s passion for evangelism and reach out to snatch unbelievers from Hellfire, adding that “there is a reward for all those who go out to preach the gospel and win souls for Christ.

He, therefore, charged all Christians, particularly members of the church, to make the love of Christ known to all humanity by telling them about how humanity sinned and fell short of the Glory of God, the supreme sacrifice done by Christ to redeem humanity and the need for humanity to accept Christ as their Savior.

He finally remarked that the member who records the highest number of souls won within the month of November, and the District with the highest number of souls won, will be rewarded by the Area.

The launch ceremony was attended by Mrs. Margaret Antwi (Wife of the Area), the area pastorate and their wives as well as members from various Districts in the area.
