The Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) of Pentecost Preparatory School, Abrepo (PPS-Abrepo) has donated a 64-Seater Bus to the school.

The keys and the documents of the bus were received by the Suame Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Michael C. Asiedu, on behalf of the school, during a handing-over and dedication ceremony on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. The Area Head, in turn, gave them to the Headmaster of the school, Elder Edmund Asiedu.

Speaking at the event, the PTA Chairman, Elder Edward Owusu, said that the PTA of PPS-Abrepo is committed to ensuring the general wellbeing of staff and pupils of the school.

He said that the decision to acquire the bus was informed by the challenge of most pupils who usually arrived late for school because they lived further away from the school. As a result of this, he noted, the many pupils usually missed out on morning lessons, and this has affected their academic performance. The PTA is, therefore, hopeful that the school bus would help to address this challenge.

In response, Apostle M. C Aseidu expressed profound gratitude to the parents and teachers for such a kind gesture. He stated that the schools have now become the mission fields where many souls could be won the Lord and The Church of Pentecost, through Vision 2023, is taking the opportunity to reach out to school pupils with the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

The Suame Area Head also admonished school authorities to take proper care of the vehicle and observe good maintenance culture so that it would serve the intended purpose for which it was given.

Apostle M. C. Asiedu then prayed and dedicated the bus to the Lord.

Present at the event were the Local Manager, Pastor Fred Obboh, the School Chaplain, Pastor Patrick Yeboah Nketiah, PTA Executive Committee Members and departmental heads of the school.
