The Suhum Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Anthony Eghan Kwesi Ekuban, has indicated that the love of God for the salvation of mankind is best manifested through the vicarious death of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Ekuban said this on Sunday, April 22, 2019 at the climax of the Nsawam Zone Easter Convention in Suhum Area. The zone consists of Nsawam, Adoagyiri, Djankrom, PIWC-Nsawam and Dobro districts.

Speaking on the topic, “Jesus is Risen” taken from Mathew 28:1-7, Apostle Ekuban noted that, Christianity is different from other religions, because Jesus Christ who is the founder resurrected after His death. “The resurrection power makes our gospel very powerful,” he emphasized.

He expounded that, death could not uphold Jesus captive in the grave as He rose triumphantly on the third day. He further explained that, there is no need for Christians to entertain fears when faced with challenges, because Jesus is the rock of their salvation. “When you are on this rock, the storm will blow but Jesus will keep you save in perfect peace,” he asserted.

Apostle Ekuban explained that, there are proofs about the resurrection of Jesus. One of them is how He revealed Himself to several people including His disciples, he said. He added that, Jesus had a glorious body that shined and had the power to penetrate even buildings.

He urged Christians to exercise the resurrection power in their lives.

As part of the activities carried out during the Easter convention, free medical screening was organized at all the 10 zonal centres in the Area. The members were screened on HIV, Hepatitis B, blood group status, and Hemoglobin level.
