The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, has asserted that the founding fathers of the Church have laid a good foundation to make it a very formidable church.
He has therefore urged members of the Church to endeavour to build on the foundation according to the pattern laid by the founding fathers in order to preserve the rich Pentecostal heritage.
The General Secretary made these remarks when addressing members of the Women’s Ministry from New Takoradi District in the Takoradi Area who embarked on a field trip to the Head Office of the Church at La in Accra on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
He stated that to be able to possess the nations and influence society positively with Kingdom values and principles, members of the Church first ought to possess themselves by working on their character and attitude before possessing others for Christ.
This, he said, brought about the 2019 theme of the Church, “I Will Build My Church,” which stresses on the dual purpose of the Church- having been called out by God and sent back to the world to impact lives with their kingdom lifestyles and virtues.
The women were led by the wife of the District Pastor, Mrs. Mary Tandoh, and the District Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Dorothy Annor. Some elders including the Central Presiding Elder, Elder Francis Annor, and Elder George Ashilabi were also on the trip.
The visit also took them to Pent TV and the Pentecost Convention Centre, among other places.
