With great joy and a spirit of celebration, the Offinso Area of The Church of Pentecost has officially welcomed Pastor Justice Appiah Afful and his family, the new Area Head.

The colourful service, held at the Offinso Newtown Central Assembly auditorium, brought together members from all 18 districts of the Area, alongside visitors from across the country, who filled the auditorium to capacity in a show of warmth and solidarity.

Delivering the sermon on the theme, “There Was a Man Sent by God,” Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful, Old Tafo Area Head, who officiated the service, stated that it is God’s divine plan to work through human vessels.

“We are partners of God. God is a Spirit and uses man when He wants to achieve physical goals,” he noted.

Apostle Nsaful lauded the support offered to ministers of the gospel within The Church of Pentecost, describing it as commendable. He, however, reminded the congregation that ministers, though called by God, are also human, with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Expounding on John 1:6, he appealed: “I humbly urge you, therefore, to receive him so well, respect him, stay in peace with him, take him as your personal friend, look after him well and support him. He needs this from us to become a better minister who will accomplish his mission as God’s messenger.”

He further encouraged all believers to recognise their shared responsibility in advancing the Kingdom of God, saying, “We must therefore position ourselves – both in thought and deed – so that we can be sent and used greatly by God.”

In his response, Pastor Justice Appiah Afful, joined by his family, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for His grace and mercies. He extended appreciation to the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, and the Executive Council for the trust reposed in him. He also paid glowing tribute to his predecessor, Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, for the solid foundation he laid in the Offinso Area. Quoting Luke 1:14-17, Pastor Appiah Afful urged the church to join hands with him to “possess the entire Offinso Area and beyond for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The service was marked by joyous singing, energetic dancing, and a spirit of fellowship, reflecting the readiness of the Offinso Area to embrace their new leader and work with him in advancing the Kingdom agenda.

The well-attended service saw the presence of ministers and wives of the Offinso Area, as well as other ministers from sister Areas and denominations, among others.
