The Yabraso Community Based Church Building (CBCB) in Asantekwa District in the Kintampo Area of The Church of Pentecost has been dedicated.
The dedication ceremony, which took place on Friday, 26th January, 2018, was officiated by the Area Head, Apostle Gideon Obeng-Darko Debrah, assisted by the District Minister, Overseer Daniel Kwame Darko, and the pastorate in the Area.
In a sermon, Pastor Paul Nsarkoh of Kyeremankoma District, spoke on the topic: “Your Labour in the Lord is not in Vain,” with scripture reference from first Corinthians 15:58.
He pointed out that after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, there are other things like righteous living, tithing, supporting the poor and the work of ministry that the believer is expected to do.
He encouraged the congregation to continue in their labour for the Lord, bearing in mind that their works would be rewarded by the Lord Jesus Christ at the end.
Pastor Nsarkoh urged Christians to submit totally to the perfect will of God in good and bad times. He emphasized that they should remain in Christ and His basic message.
He narrated the characteristics of the Christian labour as: first, Christ commissioned Christians to work just as He has worked as His father does. Secondly, Christians are to work as a result of the faith in Christ.
“Don’t be movable, stand firm and depend on the power of God, because your work for the Lord has eternal blessings,” he concluded.
Apostle Debrah, on his part, added that “Christianity is labour (work) but not funfair.” He encouraged Christians to continue to labour because rewards would be given at the end according each one’s work.
“We have to be determined and persevere in doing God’s work to the end so that we will not loss our crowns,” he said.
