Pentecost International Worship Centre in the Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost (PIWC-Kaneshie) has organised the 2018 edition of its annual worship conference dubbed “Doxa Experience’18”
The event, which was held from October 24 to 28, 2018, was under the theme “Let Your Glory Fall” (2 Chronicles 5:11-14).
In a short exhortation on the first day, the Resident Minister, Pastor Kingsley Addai explained that Doxa denotes “a common opinion” in the Hebrew version of the Old Testament Bible. According to him, this old meaning changed to “Glory” when 70 Hebrew Scholars translated the Old Testament Bible from Hebrew into Greek, otherwise known as Septuagint.
Reading from 2 Chronicles 5:11-14, Pastor Addai noted that just as the priests and Levites who were musicians sang and brought the glory of God down into the sanctuary, the church auditorium will be filled with the glory of God as the ministers sing unto the Lord. He, therefore, charged participants to eagerly desire to have an experience with the Glory of God since that is one way of experiencing His glory.
The guest minister for the first day, Rev. Bruce Ghartey (popularly known as Uncle Ato) encouraged all members to regard the programme as an opportunity to offer worship to God. He stated that “unlike a football match where few people play whiles majority of people are spectators, in a worship service, everyone gets to participate in worshipping and giving glory to God.”
He then led the congregation through an intense period of worship interspersed with some of the 2018 theme songs of The Church of Pentecost.
Other ministers who graced the event included: Pastor Kwasi Annor (General Manager, Pent TV), Deaconess Gina Asante, Akese Brempong, Eunice Cofie, Kofi Peprah, Rebecca Ray and the host choir, Maranatha Praise Family.
