Members of The Church of Pentecost in the Kanjarga District were filled with joy and gratitude as a newly constructed church building for the Jagsa Assembly was dedicated on Friday, June 18, 2026.
The fully furnished church auditorium, valued at GHS 179,000.00, was generously donated by Elder David Collison and his siblings in memory of their late mother, Deaconess Grace Gertrude Naamle Collison, whose life was marked by faithful service and unwavering commitment to God’s Kingdom.
The dedication service was characterised by vibrant worship and heartfelt thanksgiving to God. The event was attended by the Bolgatanga Area Head, Apostle David Amankwaa, accompanied by the Area pastorate. The chief of the community and several residents also graced the occasion, underscoring the strong partnership between the church and the community.
Preaching on the theme, “The Power of Sacrificial Service,” from Luke 7:1–7 and Genesis 22:1–15, Apostle Amankwaa explained that sacrificial giving goes beyond convenience, requiring believers to offer something of value as an expression of faith, love, obedience, and wholehearted devotion to God. He noted that such giving attracts God’s favour, blessings, and divine intervention.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Elder David Collison thanked God for the life and legacy of their late mother. He described her as a devoted servant of God whose passion for evangelism, missions, and faithful service inspired the family to build the church as a lasting tribute to her commitment to Christ and His Kingdom.
Commending the family for their remarkable generosity, Apostle Amankwaa described the project as a significant contribution to The Church of Pentecost’s Possessing the Nations Agenda and the advancement of the gospel in the Kanjarga District. He encouraged members to emulate such sacrificial acts of giving in support of God’s work.
